SCMS 2018 Scholarship


  • Requirement for scholarship submission
    Be a resident in good standing.

    Written Narrative
    Each applicant is required to submit a narrative addressing:
    1. Why I chose to be a physician
    2. Your community project (see guidelines below)
    Residency Community Project Grant: Describe your Project with the following guidelines:
    • Improve community Health Literacy and patient advocacy
    • Increase the use of telemedicine for community medical practices
    • Improve physician participation in the Accountable Communities of Health
    • Address community and health care priority for public health
    • Strengthen the doctor-patient relationship in health care delivery
    • Review the needs and opportunities for charitable care.
    • Define the health care needs of the non-citizen component of our population
    Faculty Reference
    Please have your program director or faculty advisor complete the following reference form and mail it directly to SCMS.

    Deadline for All Scholarship Materials:
    Friday, March 30, 2018

    A scholarship recipient will be selected April 13, 2018.
    Scholarship Recipient will receive $2,500.00 toward your residency community project.
